Benchmarking Surveys

Benchmarking surveys come in many flavors, but they all strive for the same goal: establishing a baseline for measuring what you are benchmarking. These surveys can range from simple one or two question surveys to more complex questionnaires.  Surveys can be conducted over the phone, by email, or by utilizing a survey instrument such as Survey Monkey. Keep your survey simple.  No more than 10 to 12 questions, with a mixture of multiple-choice and open-ended answers.

Regardless of what method you choose, all participants should gain from the knowledge of your benchmarking survey, so be sure to share the results with those who participate.
